Though the generous support of our donors, the James D. Rielly Foundation has been able to help numerous families throughout our community. Here are just a few of those people who we helped recently.
Helping Families After a Devastating Fire
After a devastating fire displaced multiple families, the James D. Rielly Foundation responded to help those affected begin to recover.
JDRF has assisted many fire victims over the years through gifts, financial support, and other direct aid during times of sudden loss.
This was one of several examples of the foundation stepping in when families faced an unexpected crisis.
An Early Christmas for a Family Facing Loss
Just before Christmas, Santa and his helpers surprised a family in need after a mother of four young children was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was not expected to live until the holiday.
The James D. Rielly Foundation delivered gifts to the family’s home and brought Christmas early so they could share that special moment together.
It was a deeply personal act of compassion during an incredibly difficult time.
Christmas Surprise
The James D. Rielly Foundation partnered with the Warren Police and Fire Departments to bring a special Christmas surprise to a local family in need.
The effort brought together community members, first responders, and holiday giving to provide support, joy, and a memorable experience during a difficult time.
It is a strong example of how the foundation turns compassion into direct action for families facing hardship.
Wheelchair Ramp for a Retired Marine
The James D. Rielly Foundation helped support a retired U.S. Marine during a difficult period following a leg amputation and a long hospital stay.
As he faced major health challenges and the need for a more accessible home, the foundation stepped in to help improve safety and mobility.
This project reflects JDRF’s commitment to supporting veterans and military families with practical help when it is needed most.

Accessible Bathroom for a Family in Need
The James D. Rielly Foundation funded and built a handicap accessible bathroom for a family raising two wheelchair-bound children.
The project helped make daily life safer, more functional, and more dignified for the children and their families.
It is an example of the foundation’s commitment to meeting real needs with practical, lasting support.

Christmas Gifts for Veterans
The James D. Rielly Foundation helped bring holiday cheer to veterans during an annual Christmas celebration held aboard the historic USS Massachusetts.
Santa Claus made a surprise visit and delivered gifts to the guests, creating a memorable and meaningful experience for those who served our country.
The event reflected the foundation’s belief that simple acts of kindness can bring real joy and connection.
